About the Role:

Sealed Air's Food Division is seeking a motivated and consultative Account Manager to grow and support our customer base across the food packaging sector, particularly in protein (beef, pork, chicken, cheese). This is a high-impact role managing a ~$20-25 million revenue territory composed of ~30 key regional and strategic accounts.

You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, focusing on value-driven solutions, not transactional selling. This territory-based role combines farmer and hunter sales skills, managing an existing customer base while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of ~30 key food industry accounts
  • Develop and execute account strategies aligned with business forecasts
  • Drive year-over-year growth according to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Engage with stakeholders ranging from plant operators to CEOs
  • Navigate complex sales cycles with a consultative, solution-oriented approach
  • Coordinate cross-functional support including Technical Service, Product & Market Specialists, and Inside Sales
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM platform (C4C) including pipeline, forecasting, and account planning
  • Conduct in-plant visits to processing and packaging facilities (e.g., protein plants)
  • Identify and quantify value-creation opportunities for customers
  • Deliver exceptional service while meeting sales and profitability goals
What You Bring:
  • Proven experience in technical or consultative B2B sales, preferably in packaging, food, printing/converting, or related sectors
  • Knowledge of packaging equipment and production environments (a strong plus)
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to work independently and manage a large territory
  • High integrity, authenticity, and customer-first mentality
  • Comfortable working in both executive boardrooms and operational plant environments
  • Strong organizational skills, CRM proficiency, and commitment to follow-up
  • Ability to manage T&E expenses within annual budget
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in outside sales, technical sales, or packaging industry roles
  • Familiarity with protein packaging markets (beef, pork, poultry, cheese)
  • Experience managing a high-revenue portfolio
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Estimated 20-25% overnight travel (driving-based within the region) with daily travel within the region (not overnight).
